National Basketball Association (NBA), an American professional basketball league is one of the most followed sports league all over the world. The players who compete in the league through various teams get large signing bonuses and endorsement deals which propel them into being one of the highest paid individuals.

10. DeMar DeRozan ($27.7 Million)
DeMar DeRozan is a member of the Basketball team Toronto Raptors and plays in the position of shooting guard. He started his basketball career when he played college basketball for the University of Southern California. He was drafted by the Toronto Raptors in 2009.
He started playing when he was attending Compton High School, and during that time was ranked the top college recruit in the year of 2008. After his first year in college basketball scene, he decided to apply for NBA draft, the reason for which he gave was to take better care of his mother who suffers from lupus.
9. James Harden ($28.3 Million)
James Harden is a professional basketball player who plays shooting guardant point guard for the NBA team Houston Rockets. Harden started his career be playing college basketball at Arizona State University in 2007 before first being drafted by Oklahoma City Thunder in 2009. He was drafted by Houston Rockets in 2013 after failing to agree on the contract extension from the Thunders.
Harden Has also competed in the 2012 Olympics and 2014 world cup, bringing home the gold both times. He has been a five-time NBA all-star and was endorsed by Adidas for $200 Million deal over 13 years.
8. Russell Westbrook ($28.5 Million)
A professional basketball player in NBA, Russell Westbrook plays point guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He has had a great career in NBA since his first draft in 2008 by the Thunders. He has been an NBA all-star six times, NBA scoring Champion twice and called the NBA most valuable player in 2019. He was part of the 2012 Olympics and 2010 World Cup, bringing home the gold both times.
He played college football for UCLA Bruins from 2006 to 2008 and was drafted in the Thunders in 2008. He has had endorsements from Jordan Brand, PepsiCo, True Religion and Kings & Jaxs.
7. Mike Conley ($28.5 Million)
Mike Conley is a professional basketball player who plays point guard for the NBA team Memphis Grizzlies. He started his career by playing college basketball at Ohio State University from 2006-2007. He was drafted into Memphis Grizzlies in 2007.
He is the son of Mike Conley Sr., who won gold and silver medals in the Olympics in the triple jump event.
6. Kyle Lowry ($28.7 Million)
Kyle Lowry, who plays in the point guard position, is a professional basketball player currently drafted in the NBA basketball team Toronto Raptors. He was first drafted in the Memphis Grizzlies (2006-2009), then changed to Houston Rockets (2009-2012), and finally the Toronto Raptors. He has had a successful career in which he was in the NBA All-Star three times. He also brought home the gold in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
5. Blake Griffin ($29.5 Million)
A professional basketball player, Blake Griffin plays power forward for the NBA team, the Los Angeles Clippers. He started his career in basketball by playing for his college team, Oklahoma Sooners from 2007 to 2009. He has been an NBA all-star five times, NBA rookie of the year in 2011 and NBA slam dunk contest champion in 2011.
Griffin played for the Oklahoma Christian School basketball team and brought in four high school state championship titles under the guidance of his father who was the coach of their team. Griffin has been playing for the Clippers since 2009. Griffin has had major endorsement deal from Panini America and has appeared in commercials for companies like Subway, Vizio, Kis Motors and GameFly.
4. Gordon Hayward ($29.7 Million)
Gordon Hayward is a professional basketball player who plays small forward for the NBA team Boston Celtics. He started his career in the NBA by first being drafted by Utah Jazz in 2010. He has been a part of the NBA All-star and won the gold in the U-19 world championship in 2009 New Zealand.
He started his basketball career when he first started playing college basketball for the Butler University from 2008 to 2010. Hayward was drafted in the Utah Jazz in 2010 and stayed with them up.
3. Paul Millsap ($30.8 Million)
Playing as a power forward, Paul Millsap is a member of the NBA team Denver Nuggets. He was drafted into the NBA through the tea Utah Jazz, where he played from 2006-2013. He has been an NBA all-star four times, Louisiana Mr Basketball in 2003 and inducted into the Louisiana Tech Athletic Hall of fame in 2011.
He started his basketball career playing college basketball for Louisiana Tech from 2003 to 2006. Millsap was drafted for Utah Jazz in 2006 and officially signed the contract with them on 2nd August 2006. After seven years in Jazz, Millsap decided to shift to Atlanta Hawks in 2013. Then, Millsap signed a multiyear contract with the Denver Nuggets.
2. LeBron James ($33.3 Million)
LeBron James is one of the biggest names in basketball currently. He is a small forward who plays for the NBA team Cleveland Cavaliers. He was drafted into the NBA via Cavaliers in 2003 but too a departure from them to play for the Miami Heat’s in 2010 before returning to Cavaliers in 2014. He brought home two Olympic gold (2008, 2012) medals and one bronze (2004), one world championship bronze (2006) and one Americas championship gold (2007)
James had followed the footsteps of Legend Michael Jordan by opening his own line of footwear called LeBron.
1. Stephen Curry ($34.7 Million)
Stephen Curry, the highest paid NBA player, plays the point guard position for the NBA team Golden State Warriors. He has been playing for the Warriors since 2009. He played college basketball for Davidson University from 2006 to 2009, before being drafted for the Warriors. He has been a two time NBA champion, two times most valuable player and four-time NBA all-star. He also brought home the gold twice in the FIBA World Cup (2010, 2014).
NBA is one of the biggest basketball associations in the world so it should not come as a surprise that most of the players drafted in it make have an annual income in the millions. Most of their income is attributed to endorsements from big companies and the signing bonuses that they are awarded.
