India is a developing country and it is known to the second highest country to have a high population. there has been an incredible growth in India. The GDP of India is known to have grown 7.3%. This GDP is the sum of GDP of all the states of India as well as the union territories. No matter the area and the size of the population of the state it still contributes to the overall growth of India.

At the 10th position is the state of Uttarakhand which is to the north of India. The population of this state is somewhere around 1,00,86,291. The state has a total of thirteen districts and amongst these districts the one which is less populated is Rudraprayag. Rudraprayag has a population of approximately 2,36,856. The total area of Uttarakhand is approximately fifty thousand square kilometers. In this area, more than 85 percent is mountain ranges. This state is very popular amongst the tourist because it is known for its pleasant atmosphere and cool climate. This state is also very scenic and hence liked to be visited by many. At the 6th position is the state of Manipur which is also situated in the northeastern part of India. This part comprises of both the usual population along with various tribes. More than 40% of the population of this state is that of the tribes. The weather is mostly cold in this part of India throughout the year. It is known for its scenic beauty and animal husbandry is a famous industry which is run by many people over here. Along with this, there are many more industries which people run for earning a decent amount of money. The total population of this state is approximately 25,70,380.
At the 5th position is the state of Nagaland in the northeast part of India which is among the seven sisters of India. This area is full of mountain ranges. This state became a part of the country of India in the year of 1963. Just like the other northeastern states this state is also inhabited by tribes. There are 16 prominent tribes and each of them has their own tradition, language, and culture. So in that sense, it is very rich in its culture. This state has a total eleven districts and Pheak is the district which has the least population which is somewhere around 1,48,000. There are more than 36 languages which are spoken by the people of this state. This is the only state in India which has recognised English as the official language. This comprises of the 50% of the overall population if the state of Goa. It is also well known for the alcoholic beverages which one gets at very cheap rates. 3. Arunachal Pradesh
At the 3rd position is the state of Arunachal Pradesh. Another state in the northeastern part of India it has a total population of 13,83,727 approximately. It is a bigger state as compared to the other states in the northeastern part of India. It is known as that state which is linguistically very rich. This state has thirty districts and each of them has a language of its own. It is also known to have a hydroelectric probability which is still untapped and this is used for the purpose of irrigation and power. The state is known for its natural scenic beauty and has numerous visitors throughout the year. This state always makes the headlines of news because it has a common border with the neighbouring country; China.
At the second position is the state of Mizoram. It is that state which is mostly occupied by different tribes. The percentage goes up to 95 of the overall population of the state. It is concentrated by the tribal population. Out of the total area of this state, the ninety percent is covered by forest and hence this state is amongst those state which has a vast forest cover. The state of Mizoram has only 8 districts and out of these eight Saiha is known as the one which is less populated than its other district. Mizoram has a total population of approximately 10,98,206.
At the top position in the list of the least populated states is the state of Sikkim. Another amongst the seven sisters it is located in the northeast region of India. This minimum populated state became a part state way back in the year of 1975. This is another state which is surrounded by land on all sides. Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan and West Bengal are the places that surround Sikkim. This is another state which is on the list of the favourites amongst the tourist from across the world. It is cool mostly throughout the year. And hence a favoured destination by the people. Other places are also easily accessible from this place. The total population of this landlocked Sikkim is somewhere around 7,00,000.
