He has been awarded the Padma Bhushan for his recognised contribution to the field of law and jurisprudence. He started his career in 1956 and was appointed as the Senior advocate in 1977, after which his income shot up unbelievably.

He is the most accepted lawyer when cases regarding constitutional issues arise. One among his many notable cases include the 2G Spectrum Case, and he has also been invited by the government of Bhutan as a consulting expert for the drafting of their constitution. He is currently 85 years old and has been awarded both the Padma Bhushan and the Padma Vibhushan for his services.
8. Dr. Abhishek Singhvi
This lawyer-turned-politician is now currently a member of the Indian National Congress Party. He is the youngest to be appointed as the Additional Solicitor General of India. He is now 57 years old and earns more than 6 lakhs for each hearing. 7. Soli J Sorabjee

He is the most expensive lawyer and the 43rd most powerful person in the country as of 2017 according to India Today. He is a senior advocate of the Supreme Court and has also appeared in many high courts for many cases mostly as a counsel. He too served as the Solicitor General of India for three years and has worked with Soli Sorabjee for six years.
5. Rohinton F Nariman
This lawyer mainly deals with cases involving corporate issues and has been named the king in such cases by his sheer experience and his constitutional knowledge. His exceptional calibre was highly recognised by the Supreme Court, which made him a Senior Advocate at the age of 36 itself when the minimum age for such a promotion is 40 and he had not even practiced law for 20 years. His father, Fali Nariman, was one of the most reputed lawyers of his time. He grew out of his own talent and sheer interest in law and is now one of the most expensive lawyers in the country.
4. Mukul Rohatgi
