The Old Town is an incredible sight, boasting buildings that are over 500 years old and have been painstakingly preserved. It is a must-visit when in Innsbruck and you can spend a whole day here, exploring, taking photos and soaking up the atmosphere.

The main shopping street, Maria-Theresien Straße, is lined with shops and restaurants. It also has a number of historical buildings and monuments on one side. You can take a stroll along it or just browse the many shops.

4. Abisko

In the heart of Swedish Lapland, Abisko is a true winter wonderland. It’s a small village with just 85 inhabitants, meaning that it is almost completely free of light pollution – massively increasing your chances of spotting the Northern Lights.

You can also try out a number of exciting outdoor activities during your stay, such as husky dog sledding, snowmobiling and ice-sculpting. There are also lots of great places to visit during the day, such as the world-famous Aurora Sky Station.

You can also do a day trip to Narvik, which is just two hours away by train. This is a fantastic option if you want to experience a bit of Scandinavian culture during your time in Lapland.
